How to take care of your health after a snowstorm
The National Weather Service reports snowfall totals across most of the western United States, with most areas expected to see at least 10 inches of snow.
The National Center for Atmospheric Research says the most likely area of heavy snowfall is in northern Arizona, with up to six inches forecast in Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and Flagstaff City.
In the central Rockies, snow could accumulate in parts of Colorado and southern Wyoming.
In New York City, some parts of the city will see snowfall of up to five inches, while parts of Staten Island could get up to seven inches.
The National Weather Forecast Center says a small snowstorm in Washington state could produce a snow event of 10 to 20 inches, with the heaviest accumulations in the Puget Sound region.
In Alaska, up to three inches of ice could be expected on the northern tip of the state.
