Health officials: New York City could become the first city in the nation to use homeopathic treatments for everything
Health officials in New York say they’re looking into using homeopathic remedies for everything from asthma to cancer.
The state Department of Health says the move could help curb the spread of coronavirus, which can be deadly for both humans and animals.
It could also help prevent illnesses like chronic fatigue syndrome and multiple sclerosis that have been linked to the virus.
The department says it’s working with the city’s Public Health Department to determine the best practices and what specific medications might be appropriate.
The move comes after President Donald Trump pledged to expand homeopathic medicine in the U.S.
A few months ago, Trump called for the establishment of homeopathic clinics to treat “all diseases.”
That prompted some states to pass laws banning the practice.
