When the best and worst foods are at your fingertips
Foothill Community Health Center has expanded its wellness offerings to include an optional full-service bar that features a wide variety of fresh and natural foods, a variety of local craft beer and even a variety from local suppliers.
The bar is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.t. on weekends and 11 a.m to 9 a.p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 11 a and 3 p., Friday and Saturday.
While the wellness center offers a wide range of options, it does not offer a full menu.
“We are a community that does not want to take the place of our own wellness,” said Foothills founder and executive director Stephanie Babbitt.
“We believe that our wellness programs are the most important thing in our community.”
Babbitt said the Foothilling Health Center’s wellness offerings will be available at all of its community centers, as well as at its new location at 1201 S. Main St. in Southlake.
Foothills Health Center opened in 2016 in the former Foothiller Farms factory site.
Its focus is on helping residents stay healthy, including reducing their waistlines, maintaining their immune system, preventing obesity and managing chronic conditions, among other things.
Foothill Health Center currently serves a total of 833 residents and employs 825 staff members.
